Abdel Ghani Melara, guest of honor of The Islamic Federation of the Canary Islands in the first hearing of the Holy Quran in the Canaries.

The Islamic Federation of the Canary Islands (FIDC), the highest representative body of Muslims in the Canary Islands, in collaboration with the Town Council of La Villa de Adeje and the Muslim Community “Al-Ihsan” from Adeje, held at the end of november, the first hearing of the Holy Quran in the Canarian archipelago, attended by Quran reciters and artists from Morocco and Belgium, as well as the translator of the Holy Quran into Spanish, Hajj Abdel Ghani Melara Navío, Imam Jatib from the Seville Mosque Foundation.

The event was attended by Abdelmajid Boulif, reciter from Morocco, El Hassan Rahali, reciter and artist from Belgium, Abdelghani Ahjij, reciter from Belgium, Ismael Marsoub Alam, reciter and artist from Tenerife and Slama Abu Hazem, reciter and imam from Tenerife. And as the guest speaker and guest of honor, Hajj Abdel Ghani Melara, translator of the Quran into Castilian.

It was an honor for the Seville Mosque Foundation to be represented at this noble event by Hajj Abdel Ghani and by Umar Molinero, and we hope that this great initiative will be a success, continuity and contribute to strengthen ties between the different communities of Muslims in Spain.
