Photoreport: Muslim Women with 8 Andalusian Surname

Last Friday, 22nd the launch of a group of Muslim women under the title ¨Muslim Women With Eight Andalusian Surnames¨ took place in Seville, at the Civic Center Sirenas. Organized by the Women Department of the Islamic Cultural Center of Seville, by the Seville Mosque Foundation and by Islam Hoy.

With the title we wanted to show that in our country there is a community of Spanish women, Andalusian, who have chosen Islam freely and are part of the crucible of our society.

The presentation was assisted as host of Atika Jimenez; Zulaija Nieto offered us a compilation of Islam in different cultures of the world; Tahira Narbona who told us about “The Family and the Community”; Hafsah Jimenez on “Health”; Farah Hernandez on “Motherhood and Creativity” and Khadija Martinez on “Spirituality and Politics”

After completing the act with a round of questions, we enjoy refreshments in the gardens of the Civic Center Sirenas.

The event has been so successful that the repetition of the same one is already been organizing, by the request of the public, in universities and various neighborhoods of the city.

We want to thank the public for their assistance, women who shared with us their knowledge, to all who helped to carry out this event and to the Civic Center for their service and disposal.
