Presented at the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas del Mediterr\u00e1neo, 25 years after its creation, the work “Corpus Epigr\u00e1fico \u00c1rabe del Real Alc\u00e1zar de Sevilla”, Colecci\u00f3n CantArabia, Madrid.<\/p>\n\n

In an exciting event, under the direction of Natalia Arce, the work “Corpus epigr\u00e1fico \u00e1rabe del Real Alc\u00e1zar de Sevilla” was presented.\nDo\u00f1a Carmen Ruiz Bravo-Villasante, director of the C\u00edrculo Cantarabia collection where it has been published, was in charge of the presentation. <\/p>\n\n

Then, Mr. Miguel Puerta Vilchez of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Granada took the floor.\nBeing an expert in calligraphy of the Alhambra, he pointed out certain parallels and highlighted universal phrases present in both buildings. <\/p>\n\n

Afterwards, Professor Pedro Cano explained some of the techniques used by calligraphers, showing examples in the room.\nFinally, Professor Ali Tawfik of the University of Granada translated some inscriptions to the delight of the audience, highlighting the diversity of translation techniques used in the texts. <\/p>\n\n

One of the attendees had a special remembrance for Mr. Rafael Valencia, a widely known figure in the local academic body, to whom much is owed in this city.\nThe speakers also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, mentioning the Gaza Genocide, in a gesture of support in these difficult times. <\/p>\n\n

The presentation was so lively that it had to be interrupted due to the closing of the building. <\/p>\n\n

It is worth remembering that on October 31, 1931, Mr. Diego Mart\u00ednez Barrios, Minister of the Republic, ceded this beautiful building on behalf of the government of Spain to the city of Seville.<\/p>\n\n

I think it is a book that every Sevillian should enjoy it, and be able to read the Alcazar with the eyes of knowledge and not of legend.\nFrom the Seville Mosque Foundation, we appreciate all the efforts to preserve and transmit this rich heritage. <\/p>\n\n
