{"id":20234,"date":"2018-10-08T08:41:11","date_gmt":"2018-10-08T08:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mezquitadesevilla.com\/an-undeniable-reality-islamophobia-in-the-media\/"},"modified":"2018-10-08T08:41:11","modified_gmt":"2018-10-08T08:41:11","slug":"an-undeniable-reality-islamophobia-in-the-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mezquitadesevilla.com\/en\/an-undeniable-reality-islamophobia-in-the-media\/","title":{"rendered":"An undeniable reality: Islamophobia in the media."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8220;An indisputable reality: Islamophobia in the media&#8221; <\/strong>is the title of the 2017 report of the Observatory of Islamophobia in the Media presented on October 2 at the IEMed headquarters in Barcelona, and on October 9 in Madrid at Casa \u00c1rabe.<br \/>\nThroughout 2017, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.observatorioislamofobia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Observatory of Islamophobia in the Media<\/a> analysed daily the information published by six national and regional newspapers (La Vanguardia, El Mundo, La Raz\u00f3n, 20 minutos, El Pa\u00eds and Diario.es) with the aim of identifying Islamophobic information and issuing recommendations in this regard.<br \/>\nIn 2018 it monitors the newspapers El Pa\u00eds and El Mundo and incorporates the analysis of information from the national news section of the Efe and Europa Press press agencies (See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.observatorioislamofobia.org\/metodologia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Methodology<\/a>).<br \/>\nThe Observatory is an initiative led by the IEMed and the Al Fanar Foundation that has had the support of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, Casa \u00c1rabe and the Euro-Arab Foundation since its inception in 2017.<br \/>\nIn 2018, the Mare Nostrum Campus (University of Murcia and Polytechnic University of Cartagena) joined these partner entities.      <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iemed.org\/publicacions-es\/historic-de-publicacions\/coedicions\/una-realidad-incontestable.-islamofobia-en-los-medios\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;An Undeniable Reality: Islamophobia in the Media&#8221; (Access to the full report)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordination of the Observatory and edition of the report: Pedro Rojo and Lurdes Vidal<\/li>\n<li>Authors: Aurora Ali, Moussa Bourekba, M\u00f3nica Carri\u00f3n, Ghufran Khir Allah, M.
