The Fundaci\u00f3n Mezquita de Sevilla recently had the honour of receiving a community delegation from Bradford (United Kingdom), together with a distinguished delegation from the Fundaci\u00f3n Mezquita de Granada. The presence of Sheikh Abdalhaqq Bewley, renowned ulema and translator of the Qur’an, Amir Bashir Lund of Bradford and Amir Hisham Melara of the Granada Mosque Foundation, underlined the deep ties that unite our communities across borders. This gathering was a living expression of sincere brotherhood and shared purpose, reaffirming that our efforts in Seville are supported by a global network of believers dedicated to the same noble intentions. This solidarity confirms that we are not alone in our mission; We remain united in a common commitment to build a healthy and connected society that restores dignity to all. <\/p>\n\n

The weekend began on Friday, hosting our guests for the Yumu’a and making sure they were well taken care of upon arrival. That same evening, the bonds of fraternity were strengthened during a dinner at the home of one of the brothers of the local community. During the meeting, we had the presence of Chris Abdur-Rahman Blauvelt, CEO of LaunchGood, and his team, who traveled to Seville to share time with our community. Chris has always been a dear friend and has maintained a constant solidarity with our mission since we met; His presence and that of his team brought even more warmth to an evening marked by personal closeness. <\/p>\n\n

On Saturday night, the mosque was filled with the light of the Quran and the sound of sincere du’as. It was a night defined by a collective turn toward the Divine. During the meeting, our Imam Khatib, Ustadh Abdal Ghani Melara Navio, spoke to us about the vital importance of seeking Allah’s guidance. After this time of worship, we enjoyed a dinner offered for the celebration of the ‘Aqiqa of little Ali, son of Mohammed Elhaddad and Zahra Vara. We ask Allah to bless and strengthen him on his way within this Deen<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

The next morning, we met again for our weekly “Quran and Coffee” session. Shaykh Abdalhaqq Bewley gave an inspiring talk on the need to purify the heart as a prerequisite for right action. He reminded us that it is this right action that constitutes the true basis of Deen<\/em>, above and beyond the various perspectives that Allah, Subhanahu wa ta’ala<\/em>, may bestow upon us. After the Dhuhr prayer, we shared a last lunch together, taking the opportunity to say goodbye to the brothers who had traveled from so far away to spend these days with us. <\/p>\n\n

For us in Seville, knowing that our brothers from Granada, Bradford and elsewhere are by our side gives us incalculable strength. We are aware that we are part of a shared history and a common future. We ask Allah to bless our guests and guide our joint efforts as we move towards this historic milestone. <\/p>\n\n
