Tafsir classes (commentary and explanation of the Coran), given by Imam Hajj Abdel Ghani Melara. Mondays and Thursdays after salat al Isha. The same class from monday will be repeated on thursdays to facilitate the attendance of anyone who wants to go.<\/p>\n

It is a unique opportunity that we have in Seville to be able to benefit from these classes from Hajj Abdul Ghani, to whom we are tremendously grateful for his service and dedication.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first major project done by Hajj Abdul Ghani was to undertake the translation of the Coran into Spanish language, which involved a process of almost twenty years, where other Spanish Muslims collaborated and where he studied the traditional tafsirs and finding the best expression in Spanish language more appropriate for the people of this time. This translation has been published several times. One of them by Muhammad ‘al-Malik Fahd li \u1e6ciba’a al-Mu\u1e63\u1e25af ash-Sharif of Medina al-Munawwara, being required by such an organization because of the prestige it already had among Spanish speakers. And another one by the Turkish Ministry of Religious Affairs of Turkey, among other several issues not less careful and important.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has also translated important texts, such as: Mukhta\u1e63ar al-Bukhari, al-Muwwa\u1e6d\u1e6da of Imam Malik, ash-Shif\u00e1 and Qawa’id al-Islam, both of qa\u1e0di ‘Iya\u1e0d, the diwan of Shaykh Mu\u1e25ammad ibn al-\u1e24abib and the Tanbih al- Ghafilin of as-Samarqandi.<\/span><\/p>\n
