Yesterday we had the pleasure of receiving a group of migrants hosted by CEAR (Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid), in order to bring them closer to the Muslim community of Seville.
It is overwhelming to see firsthand the situation of these young people and see their faces and smiles, despite their plight. It is also very gratifying to see first hand, the enormous work that institutions like CEAR do, with the support of the government, to help, protect and try to give a better future to these young people.
Observing the bonds, complicity and love that had been generated between the young people and the monitors was enriching for us. And a beautiful sign of the humanization from which unfortunately the world seems to be more and more far away.
This group had the peculiarity of being composed mostly of Muslim students from different African countries, which gave rise to an interesting and lively conversation where their concerns and expectations arose.
We take this opportunity to thank you for your visit, interest and courtesy and to emphasize our open door policy for people or groups who are interested in learning about the mosque, Islam or have any questions that we can solve.
“Since 1979 CEAR has been working on behalf of refugees, stateless persons and migrants in vulnerable situations so that their rights are recognized and respected”.
