Meeting with the City Council of Almonaster for the organization of the XXI Jornadas de Cultura Islámica (Islamic Culture Days)

Yesterday a delegation of the Seville Mosque Foundation met in Almonaster la Real, Huelva, with its Mayor, Mr. Jacinto Vázquez, the Councillor for Tourism, Tamara Romero, and Yolanda Benabat, in order to coordinate the organization of the twenty-first edition of the Islamic Culture Conference of Almonaster.

In this “special year” due to the pandemic, we will not be able to count on traditional elements of the Islamic Days such as the souk, the street animations, the international symposium and the workshops, however neither the city council nor the Islamic community wanted another year to pass without doing anything.

These days will be special and will have a more institutional approach, although some activities such as concerts, guided tours of the mosque, conferences, exhibitions and the presentation of books from past editions of the symposium will be maintained, although with extreme measures of social distance and permitted capacity as recommended by the health authorities.
