Reception at the Indonesian embassy for the 73rd anniversary of independence

On 27 September, the Embassy of Indonesia celebrated the commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Indonesia.
The Seville Mosque Foundation was invited by H.E. Pak Hermono and his wife, Mrs. Sri Rejeki Hermono, to this celebration, in which it was explained how relations between these two countries have increased and improved at all levels.
Indonesia is the country with the largest number of Muslims in the world, 227 million, 87% of the population, and has a varied demographic that makes it an exemplary place of coexistence between different cultures.
Indonesia is also the world’s 15th largest economy and is expected to grow to No. 5 by 2030.
During the celebration, the delegation of the Mosque of Seville Foundation also had the opportunity to strengthen relations with the ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Khayyam Akbar, with the ambassador of Malaysia, H.E. Zainal Abidin Bakar and with other diplomats and personalities.
We are very grateful to have been invited to this celebration and we hope that this will serve to strengthen relations between Spain and Indonesia and between the Muslims of both countries.
