A group of students from the Salesian Institute “Rainerum” in Bolzano, Italy, visited the musal-la of the Seville Mosque Foundation. The visit took place during the recitation of the Qur’an that is done on Sunday mornings and that is accompanied by a coffee and pastries and to which men, women and children attend.
The students, who are in their last year of High School, accompanied by two professors, are conducting a cultural visit to the south of Spain and were very interested to meet the different cultures living in the city of Seville.
The group of students participated in the recitation of the Qur’an and after this they had occasion to know some of the meanings of the Quran, a general introduction to Islam and part of the Islamic cultural heritage of Seville by the hand of Ustad AbdelGani Melara, Luqman Nieto and Jalid Nieto.
During the coffee they also had the opportunity to ask their questions and clarify their doubts.
In the words of one of the professors who accompanied them, Walter Dosso, they said that they were very grateful for having shared such an intimate moment, for receiving them and for having attended the Quran recitation, which, as he expressed, had moved and elevated him.
It is a pleasure for all of us to be able to receive everyone who is interested in knowing more about Islam and the Muslims.
