Visit to Seville of Dr. Muhammad Najib, Indonesian Ambassador to Spain

This week we have had the pleasure of receiving in Seville HE Dr. Muhammad Najib, Ambassador of Indonesia in Spain during an official visit in order to strengthen its relations with different institutions.

The first meeting was a pleasant dinner with Dr. Emilio Gonzalez Ferrin, professor of Arabic and Islamic thought at the University of Seville, and author of several world-renowned works. During the dinner, the various avenues of collaboration between Indonesia and Seville through the University of Seville were discussed, in addition to a relaxed historical conversation. The Ambassador took the opportunity to present Dr. Emilio with his latest book, ¨Di beranda, Istana Alhambra¨, a historical novel centered on the Alhambra of Granada.

The second official meeting was with Ms. Concha de Santa Ana, Director of the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterraneo, where after the presentations, the different ways of cooperation between the Embassy and the Foundation were assessed.

Mr. Ambassador was impressed by the beauty of the building and the history and activity of this entity. The Ambassador was impressed both by the beauty of the building and the history and activity of this entity and emphasized the interreligious dialogue and the contributions that his country can make in this sense. The geopolitical and economic relevance of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, was also discussed, as well as the possibility of strengthening cooperation in this regard through the General Secretariat for External Action of the Junta de Andalucía.

It has been a pleasure and honor for the Seville Mosque Foundation to facilitate, mediate and be present at both meetings, and we hope and wish that both will be fruitful for all parties.
