In her speech, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Spain, Dr. Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al-Otaiba, expressed how every December 2 the UAE celebrates the founding of the State, since its establishment in 1971, turning 47 this year.
He also announced the end of his Spanish career as the highest representative of his country. He did so during the commemorative speech he gave to the more than a thousand guests, at the Hotel Puerta de América, in Madrid.
Dr. Hissa Al-Otaiba’s message has been charged with emotion and it has been the verbal tenses chosen that have implied that the ambassador was indeed saying goodbye. She praised Spain and said she was honoured by the time she has spent among Spaniards. She also said she was satisfied with the growth of bilateral relations between the two countries, including the boom in trade and investment, during the ten years she has held her post in Spain.
From the Mosque Foundation of Seville we take this opportunity to congratulate all the Emiratis on their national day, thank them for the invitation and send our best wishes in her new stage to Dr. Hissa Al-Otaiba.
