Mapim, the Malaysian Organizations Advisory Council, is an NGO that functions as an umbrella for many other organizations.
Its work takes place in more than 40 countries including Syria, Myanmar, Ethiopia and Gaza and its work ranges from humanitarian aid to the construction of schools, hospitals and mosques. It is for this reason that last night, March 22, they invited the delegation of the Mosque Foundation of Seville to share in an intimate event, the history of the project to build a mosque and Islamic cultural center in Seville.
The event consisted of a dialogue session in which Dr Sani Araby Al-Qahery, CEO of Mapipm, Nur Heliza Helmi and Haswani Helmi, two well-known Malaysian artists (Nur Heliza also participated in the first campaign ‘A tile for Seville’) and Ibrahim Hernández, president of the Seville Mosque Foundation, participated, which was broadcast live on different social networks and was accompanied by a dinner.
We want to thank Zul, who was the cameraman of the second campaign ‘A tile for Seville’, and who has been instrumental in the organization of this event.
We would also like to thank Dr Sani and the artists, Nur Heliza and her sister, Haswani, for their participation, interest and help with this project as well as all the attendees.
