Eid al Fitr 2018 – Statement from the Islamic Community in Spain

STATEMENT ON THE END OF RAMADAN 1439/2018 The president of the Islamic Community in Spain announces that, having been sighted the first quarter of the moon in the reference area, tomorrow, Friday, June 15, will be the 1st day of the month of shawwal and, therefore, the festival of Eid al Fitr.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Allah wills for you what is easy and not what is difficult, but He wants you to complete the number (of days) and to proclaim the greatness of Allah for having guided you. May you be grateful!” Qur’an, 2-185

Congratulations to the entire Muslim community on this day of celebration.
We ask Allah to accept the effort of fasting, to shower it with reward and to seal it with a day of Eid full of blessings.
