Last Saturday, March 14th, we carried out a distribution of food parcels at the Mosque Foundation of Seville thanks to the generosity of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey and the Diyanet Foundation of Turkey (Türkiye Diyanet Vakfi). Together, we managed to distribute food to 150 families. We also had the presence of Kenan Oral, representative of Diyanet, who actively collaborated in the organization of the cast.
Generosity is an essential part of Islam and one of the signs of those who maintain a grateful heart towards Allah. The Messenger (peace be upon him) said, in a Hadith transmitted by Abu Hurayrah:
“Generosity is close to Allah, close to Paradise, close to people and far from Hell. Greed is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from people and close to Fire. A generous person, even if he lacks knowledge, is more loved by Allah, the Exalted, than a stingy sage.” (Tirmidhi)
Part of thanking Allah is to be grateful to people, as the Prophet reminded us in a Hadith (Ahmad, Tirmidhi). For this, we want to express our deep gratitude to Diyanet and the Diyanet Foundation in Turkey, as well as to all the people who, with their service and help, have made this initiative possible.
