Sports tournament ‘Peace and Future for the Children of Palestine’.

Under the slogan PEACE and FUTURE for the CHILDREN in PALESTINE, the Association Atlas Sevilla and the Seville Mosque Foundation are organizing a 7-a-side soccer tournament with the participation of 4 teams, which will bring together children from different continents living in Andalusia.

The Tournament has the participation of 56 children between the ages of 8 and 10 years old, and will be an example of UNION and a channel of dialogue that will transmit the values of cultural diversity, social responsibility, respect, the struggle for equality and PEACE.

At the end of the event, commemorative medals will be awarded to all participants and an intercultural snack will be offered to all participating children.

The most important objectives to be achieved with the realization of this tournament are:

• To foster dialogue through sport to unite social ties and promote sustainable development and peace, as well as solidarity and respect for all people.
• To establish unity among citizens of different origins, creating a social rapprochement and inducing tolerance.
• Promote social integration through sports.
• Combating discrimination, eliminating prejudice and promoting equality.
• Reducing social and gender violence.
• To develop an educational and cultural activity.

Our purpose is none other than to bring together many children and their families from diverse cultures under the same slogan, PEACE AND FUTURE FOR CHILDREN IN PALESTINE, fostering dialogue and inducing tolerance in our society through sport as a lever for PEACE, to forge stronger and more resilient communities.

We want to create a safe environment at the community and grassroots level, in which participating children come together to learn the values of tolerance, respect, fair play and thus develop their social skills.
