Last Saturday, December 30, the Atlas Sevilla Association, together with the Seville Mosque Foundation and the collaboration of the Jorge Juan Sports Club, held a children’s soccer tournament in solidarity with the children of Palestine. The tournament was attended by more than 50 children between 8 and 10 years old, and was an example of unity and a channel of dialogue to promote and transmit the values of cultural diversity, social responsibility, respect, the struggle for equality and peace. The song in the video is called Atouna el Toufouli, the translation of the lyrics is below:
We come to wish you happy holidays… and during the holiday season we ask you
Why don’t we have a day of celebration or decorations?
Oh, world… My land is being set on fire My land and my stolen freedom
Our dreamed sky Asking the days
Where is the beautiful sun…? And where is the fluttering of the birds?
Yes, world… My land is being set on fire My land and my stolen freedom
My land is small Like me, I am small
Give us back our peace Give us back our childhood
Give us back our childhood, Give us back our childhood Give us back our childhood,
Give us back, give us back, give us back peace.
