Focus Group Discussion – With the VIII Commission of the Indonesian Parliament, at the Indonesian Embassy in Spain

On Sunday, May 8, H.E. the Indonesian Ambassador to Spain, Dr. Muhammad Najib Ambassador of Indonesia to Spain, Dr. Muhammad Najib, organized at the Indonesian Embassy in Madrid a focus group discussion with the VIII Commission of the Indonesian Parliament on religious tolerance and moderation, studying the cases of Indonesia and Spain.

After the presentations by Dr. Muhammad Najib, on behalf of the Indonesian Embassy and Ibrahim Hernandez, as president of the Seville Mosque Foundation, there were interventions by all the parliamentarians, who also represented the various religious minorities in Indonesia.

The parliamentary representation was led by their excellencies; Br. Yandri Susanto, Diah Pitaloka and Br. Maman Imanol Haq, along with 17 other parliamentarians and journalists from their country accompanying the delegation.

The VIII Commission of the Indonesian Parliament, dealing with Religious Affairs, Social Affairs and Women Empowerment, is composed of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Social Services, State Minister for Women Empowerment, Commission for the Protection of Indonesian Children (KPAI) and National Commission for Women.

After a delicious local meal at the same embassy, the parliamentarians continued their trip through Spain visiting different places in our country, appreciating the past and present of Islam in our land.
