A meeting was held in Almonaster, Huelva, between the municipalities of Almonaster la Real and the Seville Mosque Foundation, with the aim of initiating preparations for the respective 26th anniversaries of the Almonaster Islamic Culture Conference.
The Seville Mosque Foundation and the Islamic Community in Spain have co-organized and participated in this festival for the last 26 years. Its purpose has been to create a civilising bridge, recover the cultural legacy of the past, promote knowledge and coexistence, make Islam known through the Muslim community and boost the local economy and tourism.
The meeting was the culmination of an ongoing effort to foster diplomatic and good-neighborly relations with the municipality for more than 30 years. We hope that this meeting will result in initiatives and collaborations that benefit its people, beyond the festival.
The event is scheduled for October 10, 11 and 12, 2025. Events and programming will be duly reported soon.
