On November 9th, the celebration of Mawlid al-Nabi took place in the mosque of Seville, where we celebrated the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, salla allahu alaihi wa sallam, who was sent as the Seal of the Prophets and as a mercy for all humanity.
In this celebration, Surah Yasin was first recited for the death of a deceased brother of the Muslim community of Seville. Afterwards, several qasidas of praise to the Prophet (salla allaahu alayhi wa sallam) were recited. Finally, Hajj Abdelghani Melara gave a speech on love for the Messenger of Allah, salla allahu alaihi wa sallam and what it meant for humanity.
The little ones also enjoyed activities related to the Mawlid, where they drew and learned in a fun way the meaning of this celebration.
After the speech, a dinner was offered for all attendees.
Let us hope that this celebration will remind us of the significance of the Prophet of Allah, salla allaahu alaihi wa sallam, and that the light of his Sunnah and his remembrance will help us all to guide us to the straight path, Insha ‘Allah.
