One more year of fraternity in ‘Ramadan in the neighborhood’

As every year, the Mosque Foundation of Seville has had the privilege of participating in the celebration of ‘Ramadan in the neighborhood’, an event already consolidated in the social calendar of our city that took place at the Hogar Virgen de los Reyes. Invited by the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, we come to this meeting with a deep feeling of gratitude, reaffirming our commitment to an initiative that year after year manages to bring citizens closer to the spiritual meaning and immense cultural richness of Ramadan.

The day began with an institutional ceremony inaugurated by Mar Ahumada, director of the Three Cultures Foundation, who was accompanied by personalities of great relevance to our community, such as Douna Del-lero, Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Seville; José Luis García, Deputy Mayor of the Area of Preferential Attention Neighborhoods of the Seville City Council; and Jesús Toronjo Benítez, Director General of Migration Policies of the Junta de Andalucía. Their interventions underlined the importance of promoting mutual knowledge and citizen participation as fundamental pillars of intercultural coexistence in Seville.
