The Seville Mosque Foundation is pleased to share a recent trip to Moulay Abdeslam, Tazrout, Morocco, where we have been privileged witnesses of the materialization of a social aid project that has had a very positive impact on the local community.
The personal initiative, promoted by Hajj Khalid, Vice President of the Foundation, has been possible thanks to the collaboration of a group of people with a spirit of solidarity, and the trust placed in him.
The heart of the visit focused on the delivery of the €5,000 raised, which will be used to help 288 students from the commune of Tazrout to attend the institute. The event, held at the town hall, brought together representatives of the 25 villages of the commune, teachers, parents and local authorities.
The joy and gratitude of the community were palpable on every face. The parents, humble and hardworking people, expressed their immense gratitude for the help received, which will allow their children to continue their studies.
During Hajj Khalid’s speech, he emphasized the hope that this aid would serve for young people who complete their studies to contribute back to their communities, in whatever professions they decide to take. This represents the essence of the project: not only to provide immediate support, but to sow the seed of long-term development.
Hajj Khalid has pledged to try to maintain this aid for the next three years, in order to complete a cycle of the institute, in the hope that he can continue to contribute to the development of the Tazrout community in the future. Insha Allah.
May Allah bless all those who have collaborated with their generosity and duas and may this trip be an example of solidarity and compassion among all, for all. Amin
Our thanks to all those who have made this great work possible and to those who have received us with such exquisite hospitality and generosity.
