On Sunday, 17 April 2016, we had a privilege to welcome HE Ibu Hj Yuli Mumpuni from Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI)/the Embassy of Government of Republic Indonesia for Spain in Madrid. We had warm talks and discussion concerning the Muslim society in Seville and Spain in general and more importantly the project of the development of Islamic Cultural Centre and Awqaf, the first mosque in Seville after 700 years. In that occasion, the ambassador had the opportunity to see the current condition of the mosque which is located at Plaza Ponce de León, 9, 41003 Seville and to meet up with some Muslim at the mosque.
Moreover, we also discussed our planning of the Seville Mosque Foundation to visit Jakarta to attend ISOMIL conference held by Pengurus Besar Nahdhatul Ulama (PBNU) (https://www.isomil.id/) and also to prepare the arrangements several meetings with stakeholders (government and non government institutions) with regards to our project as well as public lecturing at several universities including Gadjah Mada University (UGM), State Islamic University (UIN Jogjakarta) and Muhammadiyah University (UMY) all in Jogjakarta, and State Islamic University Jakarta (UIN Jakarta).
