Yesterday we had the privilege of meeting with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia. This meeting was especially significant for the Seville Mosque Foundation, as Tan Sri Muhyiddin played a crucial role in the early development of the project of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Seville.
We remember with gratitude the generous donation he gave us on behalf of the Government of Malaysia during a break of the fast at his residence in Ramadan in 2016, when he was Deputy Prime Minister. This donation was not only an invaluable financial aid, but also an important institutional support that opened numerous doors and allowed us to make significant progress in our project.
After a forced hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, it has been an honour and pleasure to meet Tan Sri Muhyiddin again. We had the opportunity to update you on the progress of the project of the Islamic Cultural Center, Mosque and Awqaf of Seville, and to reiterate our deepest gratitude for your unconditional support.
We look forward to welcoming you to Seville soon, Insha Allah, to further strengthen our bonds of friendship and collaboration.
