Distribution of “The Forty Hadiths” of Imam al-Nawawī

Thanks to the generosity of a benefactor – may Allah reward him – we have distributed copies of Imam al-Nawawī’s Forty Hadiths to the mosque-goers these days.

This work brings together sayings of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم that capture the essentials of the dīn: belief, worship, ethics and conduct. A classic read and memorized throughout the Islamic world since the thirteenth century.

Each hadith, said in two lines, opens afterwards and alone holds a whole part of Islam. That is why the scholars have commented on it over the centuries, and for those who approach Islam it remains the gateway to the teachings of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

This edition, from Inuh Editorial, brings the vocalized Arabic text, the translation and notes by Abdulhasib Castiñeira and the classic commentary by Ibn Daqīq al-ʿĪd, which explains without overwhelming and stops where it needs to stop. It closes with a glossary of terms.
