The Seville Mosque Foundation had the honor of being one of the 17 organizations honored at the “Sevilla Ciudad Comprometida” gala, held last Friday at the headquarters of the Tres Culturas Foundation. It was an emotional and unforgettable evening, filled with gratitude and commitment, in which the social work these organizations carry out for the benefit of the citizens of Seville was recognized.
This award, received in a year as special as our twentieth anniversary, is not only an honour, but a reinforcement of our mission to continue working for a fairer, more inclusive and united Seville. We are thrilled to recall the words of Mr. José Luis García, Deputy Mayor and delegate of the Government Area of Preferential Care Neighborhoods, Social Rights, Employment, Family, Equality and Associations, who stressed that “when we recognize these entities, we are recognizing the best of Seville. […] We are recognizing that our city moves forward when it does so together, leaving no one behind.”
From the Foundation, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Seville City Council and to José Luis and his team for this gesture. We share this award with all the award-winning entities, whom we congratulate for their incredible work, with all those who are dedicated to serving and working for the good of others, and with each person who is part of our path and makes this work possible.
This recognition is not an end point, but an impulse. We reaffirm our commitment to continue contributing our grain of sand, with humility and determination, so that Seville continues to be a beacon of coexistence and solidarity for present and future generations.
Thank you so much!
