Bridging Heritage and Future: İbrahim Aybek’s Visit

We had the pleasure of receiving the multifaceted architect, writer and translator İbrahim Aybek at the Mosque Foundation of Seville.

Erudite and passionate about the scientific and artistic legacy of Al-Andalus, İbrahim is known for his work in the recovery of forgotten arts. We are pleased to announce future collaborations with him, which will include interactive exhibitions and workshops focused on the Astrolabe (Usturlap), Al-Andalus’ quintessential tool for navigation and time measurement.

During his visit, we chatted about his literary contributions, specifically his two most prominent books: his translation of İşrak, Ruhun Renkleri by Hashim Cabrera and his own comprehensive guide, Usturlap Kullanım Kılavuzu (Manual of Astrolabe Use).
