Today, the Seville Mosque Foundation has had the pleasure of hosting a special delegation for the Jumuʿah prayer, marking a beautiful moment of global Islamic brotherhood. We have warmly welcomed the representatives of the Risala Study Circle (RSC) Spain – a vibrant Sunni Muslim community originating from Kerala, India – together with their esteemed guest, Dr. Muhammad Farooq Naeemi Al Bukhari. This Friday meeting was not a mere formal reception, but the heartfelt continuation of a relationship based on shared spiritual values and intellectual exchange.
The presence of Dr. Muhammad Farooq Naeemi Al Bukhari in Seville is a significant event for the local community. An eminent Indian scholar, orator, and influential leader, Dr. Farooq Naeemi has dedicated his life to education and Da’wah. He is recognized for his leadership in Islamic institutions in Kerala and for his literary contributions, including his multi-volume biography of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). His work builds bridges between classic texts and contemporary perspectives, allowing the community of Andalusia to interact with a thought leader who moves between traditional knowledge and current challenges.
Earlier this year, our President Ibrahim Hernandez and Dr. Muhammad Farooq Naeemi met in Fujairah (UAE) at exactly the same time. To officially receive you here in Seville, shortly after that coincidence, is a testament to the interconnectedness of the global Ummah. Today’s Jumuʿah served as a platform to introduce Dr. Farooq Naeemi to the members of the Foundation in a close environment. As the CSR delegation continues its five-day itinerary in Spain, we pray that their trip will be filled with blessings and strengthened bonds. The Foundation maintains its firm commitment to have its doors open to our brothers and sisters around the world to continue building bridges that enrich the community.
