Reception of the Alfonso de Cossío Association of Retirees and Pensioners

It was an honour for the Seville Mosque Foundation to receive the members of the Alfonso de Cossío Association of Retirees and Pensioners, from Avenida del Greco, for a special visit to our centre.

Our guests were received by the Vice President of the Foundation, Hayy Khalid Nieto, together with Sidi Muhammed El Bouzidi. During the meeting, Hayy Khalid guided our honorable visitors on a tour of the mosque, offering an introduction to Islam and sharing a dialogue about the community work and initiatives we carry out in Seville.

In the Islamic tradition, our elders occupy a place of immense respect, dignity and wisdom. Honoring, caring for, and learning from senior members of our society is an essential teaching of our faith and a core value of our community.

It has been a real pleasure to welcome the members of the Alfonso de Cossío Association, to open our doors to them and to share with them such an enriching meeting space. Their presence has brought enormous warmth to our centre, and we want to remind them that this house will always have its doors open to them.
