During the first two weeks of February, a delegation from the Seville Mosque Foundation, composed of Ibrahim Hernández and Hafith Bashir Castiñeira, visited Kuwait, where they continued the visit made with Oumar Kanoute in 2019, months before the pandemic.
During this trip, Oumar Kanouté, in his efforts to help with the Seville Mosque Foundation’s project to build a mosque and Islamic cultural center, invited us to accompany him on a charity trip to Kuwait.
During that trip, several meetings were held with the Ministry of Awqaf in which the project was presented to them, which was welcomed and they prepared to study possible forms of help.
The recent visit of the Seville Mosque Foundation aims to continue the work carried out on the previous trip to Kuwait, and at the same time new relationships have been established with different Ministries, NGOs, Government Organizations, Companies and individuals with the same purpose.
From the Seville Mosque Foundation we want to express our most sincere gratitude to the Government of Kuwait, and all the entities and people we have met during these two intense weeks of work, for their welcome, generosity and hospitality.
