Allah says in the Holy Quran:
Those who behave arrogantly on the earth in defiance of right – them will I turn away from My signs: Even if they see all the signs, they will not believe in them; and if they see the way of right conduct, they will not adopt it as the way; but if they see the way of error, that is the way they will adopt.
For they have rejected our signs, and failed to take warning from them.
Those who reject Our signs and the meeting in the Hereafter, – vain are their deeds: Can they expect to be rewarded except as they have wrought.
Sura Al’Araf (146-147).
It is very gratifying to know the signs that Allah has revealed in the Quran, and have direct application in the moments that our society is living. The tremendous turmoil on the world stage has a direct effect on the Muslim community and how to address each situation.
We must be attentive to the signs of Allah and to follow the path of the straight guide, the way that makes us be faithful to our belief and our revealed Deen by Allah. The speech opposing terrorist actions is undeniable, but at the same time we must not cross the border to question our beliefs. So far everything is clear; we are the people of the Straight Path. Our ‘ibada and our submission to Allah are not negotiable.
Once sentenced this speech, we have to close this page that has blocked us and look forward to the future with the desire to establish a better society.
Muslims are not eminently religious individuals. We have a direct involvement in the life circumstances of each day and therefore the prevailing confusion should lead us to reflect and to act under the parameters that Allah has revealed to us in the Deen of Islam.
It is time for Muslims. It is time for a social, political and economical action. It is time for Islam.
I ask Allah to give us opening, ease and a correct intention. Ameen.
