On the occasion of Eid al Adha, the Mosque Foundation of Seville has had the honor of being able to distribute lamb packages from the sacrifices of these festivities, to 136 families in Seville. This year, 33 lambs have been donated by the Tirmidhi Foundation and one more by a private donor.
Generosity is an essential part of Islam and one of the signs of those who have a grateful heart towards Allah. The Messenger (peace be upon him) said, in a Hadith transmitted by Abu Hurayrah:
Generosity is close to Allah, close to Paradise, close to people, and far from Hell. Greed is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from people and close to Hellfire. A generous and ignorant person is more loved by Allah, the Exalted, than a petty scholar. (Tirmidhi)
