A group of students from the Salesian Institute “Rainerum”, in Bolzano, Italy, visited yesterday the musal-la of the Mosque Foundation of Seville. The visit took place during the recitation of the Koran that takes place on Sunday mornings and is accompanied by coffee and pastries and attended by men, women and children.
The students, who are in their last year of Baccalaureate, accompanied by two teachers, are making a cultural visit to the south of Spain and were very interested in getting to know the cultures that coexist in the city of Seville.
The group of students participated in the recitation of the Qur’an and after this they had the opportunity to learn about some of the meanings of the Qur’an, a general introduction to Islam and part of the Islamic cultural heritage of Seville from the hand of Ustad AbdelGani Melara, Luqman Nieto and Khalid Nieto.
During the coffee we shared they also had the opportunity to convey their questions and clarify their doubts.
In the words of one of the teachers who accompanied them, Walter Dosso, they said they were very grateful for having shared such an endearing moment, for having received them and for having attended the recitation of the Qur’an, which, as he expressed, had moved and elevated him.
It is a pleasure for all of us to be able to welcome as many people as are interested in knowing more about Islam and the
Muslims and our doors are always open.
