Visit to the Ambassador of Spain to Malaysia by two young Spanish Hufath

The Al-Bukhari Mosque, from Kuala Lumpur invited this year two Spanish Hufath (those who have memorized the Quran) to be the Tarawih Imams during this blessed month of Ramadan.

Yesterday they had the honor to meet with His Excellency, Mr. Carlos Dominguez Diaz, Ambassador of Spain to Malaysia, who since knew of the presence of the young Imams, had the great courtesy to invite them.

During the meeting, Muhsin Sierra, public relations director of the Seville Mosque Foundation, had the opportunity to present to His Excellency the project of the Islamic Cultural Center of Seville and the progress thanks to the Government of Malaysia, private institutions and individuals, that we had in this regard in the past year.

The Hufath, Umar Bermejo Beneddeti and Hamza Castiñeira Gamo, are responsible for leading the prayer before more than 2500 people attending daily, during the month of Ramadan, to the iftar and after for the tarawih prayer.

It has been an honor for the Islamic Community in Spain, and all Muslims, to have been invited to take this great responsibility in a Muslim-majority country. Our sincere thanks to the Al-Bukhary Mosque, and to the Ambassador for his courtesy and kindness.
